Specification & quoteDetergent is the heaviest cargo we load. A container of laundry product reaches its legal payload with the deck plan barely half used, and that single fact decides most of what follows: which format you range, what a case really costs delivered, and whether the order leaves Madrid as a full container or as part of one.
Weight sets the ceiling, not space
The three laundry formats sit at very different points on that curve. Powder is dense and inexpensive per wash, so a powder container hits its weight limit early and the freight per wash is correspondingly high; it works on shorter lanes and in markets where powder is simply what the channel expects. Liquid looks worse still, because a substantial share of what you pay ocean freight on is water, though concentrated variants change that materially and are worth naming in the enquiry rather than assuming. Capsules invert the picture, carrying the most washes and the most value per kilo of anything in the category, which is why they suit long lanes and premium retail even when the unit looks expensive beside a bag of powder. Weight also constrains the road leg before the box is ever loaded, which is part of why the choice between Valencia and Barcelona is a weight-and-distance decision as much as a schedule one.
Pods, hazard information and destination rules
Liquid capsules carry obligations powder does not. They are supplied in child-resistant tubs and pouches with the hazard information their formulation requires, and several markets add their own rules on how a soluble unit-dose product may be packed, labelled or displayed. Some importing countries also require registration or ingredient disclosure for cleaning chemistry ahead of clearance; that is the importer's responsibility, but it is far easier to handle when it is raised before stock is allocated. Surface, kitchen and bathroom lines can be quoted against an enquiry alongside laundry, and being lighter than detergent they are useful for balancing a load that has run out of weight. Tell us the destination, the powder-liquid-capsule split and whether concentrated variants are wanted, and the quote gets built around that rather than around a nominal case count.
