Coffee is not one product in different packs. Whole bean, roast and ground, soluble and capsules are four separate things to buy, ship and sell, and a buyer who treats them as tiers of a single line usually ends up with an assortment that does not match the machines actually installed in the market.

Four formats, four sets of questions

Bean and ground coffee are aroma-critical. They travel in valved or vacuum packaging whose integrity is effectively the product, so a crushed brick pack is a dead unit even though nothing has leaked. Soluble is the most robust format in the category and tolerates long transits and warm warehousing better than anything else here, which is why it carries the volume in most import markets. Capsules need the tightest specification of the four, because they are bought against a machine base rather than against a taste: a capsule that does not fit the platform installed at destination is unsellable at any price, so system compatibility gets confirmed before blend or intensity.

Tea belongs on this page because of the buyer, not because it behaves like coffee. It is light, bulky for its weight and readily takes on odour from whatever it travels with, so it wants to be kept away from cleaning chemistry and heavily fragranced cosmetics when an order spans several categories on one booking.
